Equipment needed: One foam noodle or blocker pad per line
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will work on their FITNESS by running fast then performing a burpee before jumping to their feet and blocking.
Teaching SKILLZ:
TRICKERY – Instead of saying “go”, the instructor can say words that sound similar, like “gopher” and “ghost” in order to keep the students engaged and improve their auditory processing.
SPEED OF PROCESSING – The student must hear the instructor say “go”, then they must run down the mat and complete their burpees as quickly as they can with good technique, and make sure that they see the noodle coming towards their head and block it correctly. This works on their ability to complete a task quickly and accurately.
