Description:
The students will practice having good RETENTION by demonstrating their ability to remember a math problem while they are trying to race their friends to be fastest to be done. This will challenge them mentally to keep the answer in their heads on the way down the mat so they can do the correct amount of kicks.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1st student in each line will stand up and face the instructor who will be across the mat.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
The instructor will give the students a simple math problem and then they will say “GO”
The students will then run down the mat and tell their instructor the answer if they get it right then they can do the kicks.
If they get it wrong, they have to try again before kicking. (The instructor can help with their fingers.)
Once done with their kicks they can run back to their line 1st student back wins 1 point for their team.
