Drill: Fluctuation Challenge
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will practice having good COMMUNICATION by demonstrating their ability to fluctuate their voice so that during class they can grab and hold the attention of the students by using their voice.
Step 1
Have students find a partner to work with.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The students will find some space for themselves and their partner.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • When the instructor says “GO” the students will start to count for each other.
  • They will go from 1 to 10 getting louder on every count.
  • The goal is to get extremely loud by number 10 without screaming and hurting your voice.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Be serious so that you look good
  • Get louder on every rep
  • Use your belly to be loud so you don’t get a sore throat.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has multiple turns.
