Drill: Distraction
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice COMMUNICATION by demonstrating their ability to stay focused as they are teaching. This will challenge the students mentally by requiring them to stay focused on teaching as someone is trying to mess them up.
Step 1
Divide your students into groups
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1 student will be picked by and instructor, they will be the leader for the 1stexercise.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will then pick another student to be the “Distraction.”
  • At the same time student 2 is trying to distract the leader as they’re instructing.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Have fun, but focus and try not to get distracted.
  • Be as loud as you can so you can drown out the distractions.
  • Be a strong instructor and leader for your team.
Step 5
  • Continue so that each student has at least 2 turns.
