Drill: Ultimate Leg Exercise: Jack-in-the-Box Down the Mat
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will build their leg strength by stepping down the mat in a lunge position while holding their hands behind their head.
Step 1
  • Have your students stand on one end of the mat with their hands behind their head.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • When I say, “go” you will step forward and lower your back knee towards the ground and then stand back up, alternating legs on each step.
  • Keep your hands behind your head at all times.
  • You will do this all the way down the mat.
Step 3
  • Focus on doing your best, not finishing first!
