Description:
The students will practice FOCUS by trying to kick a clapper pad and then pop a smaller pad into the air and then catch it before it hits the ground.
Teaching SKILLZ: EXTRINSIC MOTIVATION
  • The instructor can put a challenge on the game that if you can catch all 3 of the pads that you pop up then your instructor will have 5 of an exercise.
  • Brain SKILLZ: VISUAL PROCESSING
  • The students must use their eyes to be able to kick a clapper pad in the middle so they can op their square pad high enough to catch it.
  • Step 1
  • Have students form lines with their instructor
  • Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will have the clapper pad out in front of them with the square pad on top of it.
  • When the instructor counts, the student must front kick the bottom of the clapper pad and pop the small target into the air.
  • While the pad is still in the air, the student will have to move and catch the pad.
  • If they can catch it 3 times in a row the instructor has 5 of an exercise.
  • Step 3 – Takeaways:
  • Have good technique while you do your move.
  • Keep your eyes on the pad in the air.
  • Move around so that you can catch the pad easier.
  • Step 4
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
