Drill: Static Leg Exerise: Hold Half Lunge
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: A Few to Monitor
Description: The students will build their leg strength by holding their body in a half lunge position.
Step 1
  • Have your students stand in lines facing the front of the room. Grasp hands together in front of the chest.
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • When I say, “go” you will step forward with one leg.
  • Drop your knee so that it is 1 inch from the ground and hold.
  • Hold for 10-30 seconds.
  • Then, return to standing position and step forward with the opposite leg and repeat.
Step 3
  • Continue for 3 reps on each side.
