Drill: Frozen Tag
Equipment needed: Multiple blue dodge balls
Instructors needed: A few to monitor
Description: Students will play a fun game of tag with their instructors with a fun winter twist!
Step 1
Spread students out on the mat (divide the group in half if needed and play first with one group, then with the next).
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will have multiple blue dodge ball’s between them.
  • When the instructor says “GO” the students will run away from the instructors as the instructors try to hit them with the dodge balls.
  • If you get hit by a dodge ball, you have to freeze where ever you were hit and cannot be unfrozen unless you’re tagged by a teammate.
  • If you are frozen 3 times, then you’re out.
  • Play until you have a winner.
Step 3 – Takeaways
  • Be honest if you get hit 3 times have a seat keep playing so the game will be fair.
  • Use your eyes so you can see the taggers and where your teammates are.
  • Keep moving if you stand still you might get hit.
Step 4
  • Continue for 2-3 rounds.
