Drill: Ice Slide
Equipment needed: 1 Slammer Pad/Line, 1 long belt or rope
Instructors needed: A few to monitor
Description: Students will compete with their friends in a fun slip & slide challenge.
Step 1
Divide the students into lines.
Step 2 – Explain the Rules:
  • The first student in line will get a slammer pad and they will hold on to it.
  • When the instructor says “GO”, the first student will run to the belt and slide on there pad as far as they can.
  • Whoever goes the farthest wins!
Step 3 – Takeaways
  • Run fast to slide farther!
  • Don’t jump up; if you do you may land a little harder than you wanted.
  • Have fun & don’t get frustrated if you don’t win because there is always next round.
Step 4
  • Continue for several rounds, changing the trick each round.
