Description:
Students will practice having good discipline by being able to wait for the instructor to tap them and say a number position, as soon as they hear it they will have to go to that position
Teaching SKILLZ:
TRICKERY – The instructor can stand behind a student and say a number, without tapping them. This will help the student be aware of all their senses, and make sure to wait for the tap and the number.
Brain SKILLZ:
AUDITORY PROCESSING – The students must be able to hear their instructor say a position, and quickly get to the correct position. This works on their ability to follow verbal commands quickly.
Step 1
Divide your students into circles.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Have them sit down for the drill.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
Students will start by standing. The instructor will walk around the circle.
The instructor will then tap one student and say 1, 2, 3, or 4. Whichever number they say, will be the listening position the student has to go to.
The instructor will keep going around the circle giving each student a different listening position.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
Listen so you know what position you have to sit in!
Sit strong in each position so that you practice good discipline.
