Description:
The students will practice DISCIPLINE by demonstrating their ability to hold a middle stance position while their teammate has to crawl under them and the rest of the people on the team.
Teaching SKILLZ: Healthy Competition
Instruction: “Let’s see which team can finish first by working together and staying focused. Remember—no knocking over your teammates!” This encourages teamwork and effort through structured, fun competition.
Brain SKILLZ: Divided Attention
Students must hold a strong stance while also being aware of the crawling teammate underneath them—requiring them to process two tasks at once: maintaining form and supporting the challenge.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 – Setup the drill
Have 4-5 students in each line.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
The last student in each line will start by lying on their belly, the rest of the students will get into their middle stance.
When the instructor says “GO” the last student will army crawl through the tunnel created by the other students.
When the last student crawls all they way to the front of the entire team can have a seat.
The 1st team to finish wins.
Step 4 – Takeaways
Keep your feet wide so your friends will fit.
Bend your knees so you practice getting better.
Crawl fast so your friends aren’t in their stance forever.
