Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will practice having good COMMUNICATION by demonstrating their ability to tell their instructor when they can do kicks and when they need to freeze. This will challenge them socially to be able to give orders to their peers without being mean or getting nervous.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The students in the line will stand up and make a little space between themselves.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • When the instructor says “GO” the student at the front of the line will turn and hold the clapper pad for the person behind them.
  • They will count 2 kicks for the person behind them and then they will pass them the pad.
  • This chain will continue until the person at the end of the line gets the pad.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Watch the instructor as they kick
  • Hold the pad strong so that it doesn’t wiggle
  • Have fun with your instructor
