Drill: Compliment Sit-Ups
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice having good COMMUNICATION by demonstrating their ability to give compliments to the instructor which will challenge them to communicate the things that they like.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1st student in each line will lie down in front of the instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will then hold the student’s feet.
  • The instructor will count for the student on every other rep the student must give the instructor a compliment as they sit all the way up.
  • The instructor will give the student compliments when the student is not giving one.
  • This will continue all the way to 10 reps.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Think about what you want to say.
  • Have fun as you play with your instructor,
  • Use different compliments when it is your turn.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
