Drill: Shoulder Tap Challenge
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will practice having good FORTITUDE by demonstrating their ability to hold their plank position, as they work rapid movements with their hands so that they increase the strength in their arms.
Step 1
Divide your students into lines
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1st student in line stand up and face the instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • They will then go into their plank position and hold it with their hands under their shoulders. (knees if needed.)
  • The instructor will say “GO” and the student will start doing rapid shoulder taps.
  • The student will aim to beat their score after the 1st round.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Stay strong in your position, no falling.
  • Be fast with your taps
  • Don’t give up even if you start to get tired
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has multiple turns.
