Drill: High 5 Switch
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: 1 per Line
Description: The students will practice RUNNING by demonstrating their ability to quickly run after waiting for a high 5, This will challenge their social stage of development by having them wait their turn before they run.
Teaching SKILLZ:
HEALTHY COMPETITION – The instructor can award a point to the team that sat down the fastest while waiting their turn to run.
RESPONSE INHIBITION – The student must be able to focus on getting the high five first, and then running, instead of running before they get the high five. This is a challenge as they have to resist the urge to run earlier, even though their friend is running, or else they will not get the high five
