Drill: Color Corners
Equipment needed: 4 wave bag cushions and four colored cones
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: In this drill the students will practice racing around the mat. The instructor will have them run laps on the outside edge of the mat and they will call out a color. The students must race to the station with the matching color cone.
Teaching SKILLZ: TRICKERY
  • The instructor can say a color, and then point to a pad with a different color. This will test their visual and auditory processing skills, as they have to recognize the visual cue as false and the verbal cue as true.
