Drill: Freeze Dance
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will have fun playing this listening game where the students will listen to music and dance but when the music goes off they freeze.
Step 1
Have students spread out on the mat.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will turn on the music make sure it isn’t too loud.
  • The students will all dance when the music is on and freeze when the music pauses.
  • If the instructor see a student move when the music is off then they are out for that round.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
