Drill: Floor is Lava
Equipment needed: Multiple targets for this game
Instructors needed: Multiple to monitor
Description: The students will fun by playing a strategy game where they have to pick the best route possible to get to the safe pad.
Step 1
Have students get one big line.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The instructor will place the pads all over the mat and assign one pad to be the safe pad.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The students must travel using the pads put out by the instructor to get to the safe pad.
  • If a student touches the ground with any part of their body they have to restart.
  • The 1st student to the safe pad wins.
  • The students are not allowed to move the obstacles.

  • Continue until each student has multiple turns.
