Drill: Passive Stretching: Hip Twist
Equipment needed: None
Instructors needed: Several to monitor
Description: The students will work on their PASSIVE stretching by targeting the range of motion throughout their Back, Hips, and Shoulders.
Step 1
  • Divide your students into lines.
Step 2 -Explain the rules:
  • Lay flat on your back with your hands extended out to the sides.
  • Cross one leg over your body while keeping it straight.
  • Keep your back in contact with the ground while making sure your shoulders are still flat on the floor as well.
  • Hold for 10 seconds then switch legs.
Step 3
  • Continue to stretch for 2 reps on each side.
