Drill: 7 Steps Jeopardy
Equipment needed: 1 Wavemaster top/1 block or target per line
Instructors needed: Multiple to Monitor
Description: The students will practice having good RETENTION by demonstrating their ability to quickly remember what the answer to a question is to help their team win. This will challenge the students mentally by requiring them to think quickly while under pressure.
Step 1
Have students form lines.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
The 1st student in each line will be standing across from each other.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The bag will be in between them with the target on top.
  • When the instructor asks, a question concerning the 7 Steps to Teaching a drill the students will quickly try to be the first to hit the target.
  • Whichever student hit the target first will get to answer the question, if they answer correctly they will earn one point for their team.
  • If they answer incorrectly then the opposing player gets a chance to answer and steal the point.
  • After 2 rotations through the lines the team with the most points wins.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Hands behind your back try not to cheat and move your hands early.
  • Be fast so that you can get the first chance to answer the question.
  • Think about your answer to make sure you get the point.
Step 5
  • Continue until each student has 2-3 turns.
