Drill: Lead by Example
Equipment needed: NONE
Instructors needed: One per line
Description: The students will practice INSPIRATION by demonstrating their ability to be the strongest leader or by pointing out someone else to be a strong leader. This will challenge them socially because it can be difficult for students to get up in front of each other and give their best.
Step 1
Divide your students into groups
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
For each group, you will need an instructor.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • The instructor will choose one student to lead an exercise.
  • The student must do the exercise but must “Lead by Exampleā€¯ by either doing the exercise with them to help them get stronger.
  • Or They can choose another teammate to be the example but the goal is to make everyone work harder than the example.
  • Once the 1st student is done they will high 5 the next person they want to go.
Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Have a loud confident voice.
  • Look strong to inspire others.
  • Have lots of energy.
Step 5
  • Continue so that each student has at least 2 turns.
