Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on REFLEX.
  • REFLEX means to have an involuntary response to a stimulus.
  • This is important because sometimes we have to rely on our body to know what to do especially when under pressure to perform.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your REFLEX today:

1. Have REFLEX while in response to a surprise. 2. Have REFLEX with proper footwork. 3. Have REFLEX while demonstrating speed in their technique.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

Quick Turn:

Instructor will hold for punches and then reach for their hip, students must ¼ turn out of the way.

Sprawl Fall:

Instructors will throw a large pad or yoga ball on which students must sprawl and return to standing.
