Dynamic Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms – Clap push-ups
  • Legs – Jump switch lunges

Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on ORIENTATION.
  • ORIENTATION means ones’ position in relation to a specific place or object.
  • This is important because you need to be aware of where you are in relation to your opponent to successfully reverse their technique.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your ORIENTATION skills today:

1. Showing proper ORIENTATION of your body when disoriented 2. Having ORIENTATION to maximize speed while changing directions 3. Having ORIENTATION in response to an attack.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

Backspin:

Spin on top of your partner and practice getting into proper position to break down your partner.

Cover:

Your partner will wear mitts and randomly stike high/low to the Left/Right, you must cover appropriately each time.
