Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on TIMING.
  • TIMING means selecting the best time or speed for doing something in order to achieve the desired or maximum result.
  • It takes great TIMING to be an effective Martial Artist and perform movements with speed and safety.

Here are the three ways that we are going to improve your TIMING today:

1. Using your TIMING for a safe and smooth landing. 2. Demonstrating perfect TIMING with our falls. 3. Using your TIMING to demonstrate your falls from different heights.
Skill-Building Drills – 30 Minutes

High Falls:

Students will jump & shoulder roll into a side fall over a small, medium, and tall obstacle.

Fireman Front Roll:

Students will be thrown with a Fireman’s Carry and must smoothly front roll out of it.
