Equipment needed:
2 Agility Ladders 1 Punching mitt per group

Description:
The students will practice their STEPPING by taking steps and alternating punches all the way down the agility ladder.
Step 1
Have the students get into 2 lines with their guardians.
Step 2 – Setting Up the Drill:
Students will start next to their guardian.
Step 3 – Explain the Rules:
  • Students will start next to their guardian.
  • The guardian will help the student walk down the agility ladder without touching the ladder at all.
  • The student will throw a punch in every square of the ladder until they reach the end of the ladder.
  • If the student looks ready see if they can do it all by their self.
  • Step 4 – Takeaways:
  • Cheer when the student makes it to the end of the ladder.
  • Help your student step if they are having trouble.
  • Be patient it may take some time for your student to move but don’t rush them.
  • Step 5
  • Continue as many times as possible until time is called.
