Dynamic Warm-Up – 7 Minutes
  • Arms: Push-ups
  • Legs: Squat jumps
  • Abs: Sit-ups w/ legs in the air
  • Core: Bridge with shoulder taps
Mat Chat – 3-minutes (Includes Water Break)
  • Today we are going to work on FITNESS.
  • FITNESS means to make your body stronger.

Here are three FITNESS tips that you will learn today:

1. When your muscles burn, your muscles learn. 2. If you exercise sloppy, your muscles become sloppy. 3. Practice healthy habits to become stronger.
Skill-Building Drills – 15 Minutes

Fitness Challenge:

The students will practice their FITNESS in this drill by choosing how many reps of a given exercise they want to do. Remember, the more reps you do, the stronger you become!
  • Teaching SKILLZ: UP THE REP – Challenge the students to get stronger on each rep of their exercise.
  • Brain SKILLZ: ATTENTION CONTROL – Students will practice attention control by trying to keep the best form in every rep of each exercise.

In and Outs:

In this drill the students will work on building their leg muscles by jumping in and out of the ring.
  • Teaching SKILLZ: HEALTHY COMPETITION – The student will compete against their opponent to jump in and out of the circle faster.
  • Brain SKILLZ: VISUAL PROCESSING – The students must watch their feet while they jump to land both in and out of the circle.
